Grant, This is a very good find! One thing is that it definitively ties Dr.
J.M. Middleton to our branch, strengthening the idea that he was the cousin
of my Stephen. Can you identify all the 'relations' listed in the inventory?
Obviously the children are known, but what about the relationship of the
Middletons and Dykes?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The DYKES family was Dave. N. Wilkinson's side of the family. His
grandfather, Asa Wilkinson, was married to Betsy DYKES in Barbour Co., AL. Also, Dave
Wilkinson's other grandfather, Moses Byrd of Monroe Co., AL married as his
second wife Mary DYKES. I'm not sure which DYKES were at the Family Meeting.
Dr. Middleton of Many was the son of John G. Middleton of Monroe Co., AL.
Was E. C. Middleton of Natchitoches Parish, LA Elbert MIDDLETON, son of
Stephen?
