Dear Louisiana Researchers,
This is to announce a new web page that is devoted to the Acadians who
settled the Bayou Lafourche & Bayou Manchac basins of south Louisiana in
what is known as the "Acadian Coast." The website discusses the unique
aspects of this group and includes information on both internet and print
resources for the history and genealogy of this area. Civil parishes
included in this region are:
Assumption, Ascension, Iberville, Lafourche, E. Baton Rouge, St. James, and
St. Martin.
