In the St. Charles Parish census of 1860 it lists the above people. Americus Williams & Celeste Alvina (Gaudet)Williams.

But I cannot find anymore on this couple.

They married in Thibodaux in January 1849.

Their children's names in the 1860 census were:
Harriet, Mary, Alexander, Amelia & Thomas.
It lists the father's occupation as Overseer.

The fact that the husband, Americus was born in Maryland is of interest to me. My husband ancestor, John Robert Williams who lived in St. John Parish was also from Maryland.

Trying to see if there is a connection between our ancestor and Americus Williams.
