Below are some notes that I have on Parker Hays and Isaac Dykes which I hope are some help to you.

Isaac Dykes:
He was veteran of the War of 1812 having served in the 12th./13th. Rgmt. (consolidated) under Capt. Thomas and Wm. V. Bickham of St. Tammany Parish.

I don't know what Library this book was from but the call # 929.3w Ancestory Hunting... War of 1812 Bounty Land Applications

Isaac Dykes (92076) Rebecca Dykes Widow; St. Helen Parish La., Feb. 15, 1859, said she married soldier in S.C. no proof of marriage. John Fletcher said he nursed soldier the night he died in the "Battle of New Orleans." Jacob Womack, age 67, Rhoda Mixon and Kezcia A. George certify. On Oct. 21, 1859 Livingston Parish, James Starnes, about 71 and Wiely Young about 90 certified.

Parker Hays:

Parker HAYS born in South Carolina about 1800 was the father of John A. HAYS born 15 Feb 1822 in Mississippi. Who was John's mother? Parker HAYS' wife as listed on land documents dated 1837 in Washington Parish was Rachel DYKES. On succession records of Rachel DYKES' father (Isaac DYKES) in St. Helena Parish, there were five of Rachel's children mentioned but John was not included except as an assignee of Mary Nixon. Parker HAYS later married Eliza DAY. I think he had a first marriage to John A. HAYS' mother. Who was she?
