Thank you for your response. I appreciate the info on Isaac Dykes and his death as a result of the "Battle of New Orleans". I will search records for an exact date of death. I was in Baton Rouge at the state archives recently, but I didn't know to look for Isaac. Isaac's wife was a Rebecca Holly, daughter of Elias Holly and Prudence Castille. I don't have any documentation about amy of this this except it is what my grandmother told me. I only have sketchy information about Parker Hayes. But what I do have is that he was married first to Eliza Redmond Day in St Helena Parish, LA. I only have one child listed, Robert Hayes. Then he married Rachel Dykes. I have read that they had 7 children but I only know the name of one, John A. Hayes born 2-15-1822 in MS. This information came mostly from a Christine Watters on RootsWeb.com. I have never researched this line as it isn't directly mine, but I hope it helps.
