The note from Judy Lanclos explains the early marriage of Jacques
CANTRELLE with Marie Francoise MINQUELSE, and corrects the
date of his later marriage with Marguerite LARMUSIAU.

The passengers aboard the Profond Jun 10, 1720 did include among the
wives and children a Marie Francoise MEILLAN, which might (?) be a
confusion of MINQUELSE, as given in Jacques' second marriage record,
or vice versa. There is the possibility that they were married in Europe
and had a son, Jean, there who was listed aboard the Profond. Also, the
wife listed with Jacques CANTRELLE at Orleans Street in the 1727 New
Orleans census would be Marie Francoise, although no child was listed,
nor was a CANTRELLE child listed among the Natchez victims. All later
records are then consistent with Jacques' marriage with Marie Marguerite
LARMUSIAU in 1730.
