Does anyone know of a source for records of the French settlers who were on
the various Law concessions from about 1720-40? What about the settlers at
Natchez before 1729? Or on the Arkansas River?
I need a match for the Lanclos/Lenclos name after Jean Lanclos arrived on
the Profond in 1720, and before the Lanclos records at St.Charles Borremo
in Destrehan. I know the fire in 1877 destroyed most of the St.Charles
records.
Thanks,
