Gang,
This name may be a surprise to you all - I am researching the Samuel
Hollingsworth family who owned Woodland from about 1839 to about 1870 or so. Not
many "English" names in St. John the Baptist Parish :-)
I am particularly interested in some of the children of Samuel and his wife
Eleanor Martha (Walker) Hollingsworth.
Nina - whose name is scratched in a window pane at Woodland
James Cheston
Eleanor Martha - I know she died at age 3 months - I have her death notice in the
Picayune
William Walker
Sallie Routh
Robert Lee - my grandfather - I have a lot of info on him, but not much on his
childhood in St. John Parish
