Plans are being made by the landry Family Association for another Petite
Reunion to be held at Catfish Heaven on Saturday April 10th - (Saturday after
Easter)

The entry on the bulletin board was made for the first Petite Reunion, that
was held on September 13, 1998 but the directions to Catfish Heaven and
instructions are the same for this event.

The PETIT REUNION des les LANDRY

As announced on the bulletin board, les Landry d'ici et la'-bas of the Landry
Family Association is planning a mini-reunion in preparation for the larger
reunion to be held in 1999 in conjunction with the Congres Mondial Acadien-
Louisiane.
This event is planned for Sunday, October 25, 1998 to be held at the Catfish
Heaven grounds in St. Martinville, La. The event will begin at 10AM until 4PM.
If directions are needed, click Directions, for a map and easy to follow
directions. .

Catfish Heaven offers Family Fun Facilities:

Fishing
Swimming
Horseshoes
Volleyball
Video Games
And even an electric train!

The admission fees are $5.00 per person with children 12 years old and under
admitted free.

A pork jambalaya dinner will be served for $4.00 per plate. Soft drinks will
be available. Beverages such as beer are strictly BYOB (bring your own
booze!).

For those with a sweet tooth, cakes and sweets will be available.

Several activities are planned for the event:

Live cajun music (1PM-4PM) with a jam-session sometime in-between.

Bring your family trees and genealogy sheets the genealogy session hosted by
Association's genealogy committee, Jim landry Warren landry and Don Landry.

Several nice items, including a numbered portrait by Robert Dafford of The
Arrival of the Acadians in Louisiana will be offered for raffle. Tickets are
currently being sold by Association members and will also be offered at the
reunion.

Caps, T-shirts, pins, family crest on parchment, and much more will be
available for those wishing to purchase souvenirs.

It would be a good idea to bring lawn chairs! And for those traveling by RV's,
Catfish Heaven has camping facilities at modeste rates. ( a thing to note for
the August CMA)

St.Martinville, Louisiana. Cajun food, music, genealogy and much more will

To get to Catfish Heaven, depending which direction one comes from, take hwy
167 south (Evangeline Thruway) in Lafayette turning east on Mudd Avenue and
following Mudd until it intersects with Louisiana Avenue.

Turn left on Louisiana, turning right at the lst stop light (Carmel Avenue or
Breaux Bridge Hwy). Travel approximately 2 miles, turn right on Lake Martin
Hwy.

Travel another 4 to 5 miles, turn right on Cypress Island Hwy. Taking another
right after a short distance takes you to Catfish Heaven!
