List,
I am looking for any information about the Norman/Normad family of St.
Landry Parish, in particular the parents of my great-grandmother:
SERAPHINE (SARAH) NORMAN/NORMAND b. February 6, 1871 in Louisiana d. April
24, 1931 in St. Landry Parish (Washington or Palmetto area) She married
Thomas Robinson Carroll, Jr. on April 23, 1887 in St. Landry Parish. Thomas
b. July 5, 1868 d. June 11, 1905 near Washington. Seraphine and Thomas had
12 children who lived to become adults: Albert Graves, Ida Mae, Ophelia,
Glibert Dolzie, Charlie Gay, Frederick, Mary Lucinda (my grandmother), Ada
Bell, Sarah Verlie.
After the death of Thomas, Seraphine married Daniel Boone (not THE Daniel
Boone)
Thomas Carroll, Oscar Fredericks (who may be Seraphine's cousin on her
mother's side), Ernest Soileau, and John McGee got into a very serious
argument, a gun fight took place. All four men lost their life as a result.

Thank you,
