Hello Nelda and all LATANGIP Listers:

I am not sure that I have data of much interest.

However, my paternal aunt, Addie Westholz, was first married in circa 1910
to an Alphonse Ulleses FAUST, of the Independence, LA area. I understand
that Addie sought and obtained a divorce circa 1916. My aunt had never
informed me of this marriage, nor had anyone else. I recently discovered it
while researching for records pertaining to my paternal grandmother and her
mother.

A "survived by" phrase in my great grandmother's obit referred to my aunt
Addie as "Mrs. Allophones Faust"...and this is what caught my attention.

I believe Alphonse Ullyses Faust eventually moved to New Orleans, where he
remarried, and became a barber. I'm not aware of any children born to my
aunt while she was married to Alphonse Faust. (She later married a Harper
and had two children.) The Clerk of Court's office in Amite, LA does have a
record of the marriage, but only an incomplete index entry for the divorce
could be found.

I doubt that any of the above is of interest to you; but if you, or anyone
else, may need me to see if I can locate my notes and the marriage record,
please just let me know.

Jack Westholz
