Doiron-Bethancourt
The wedding of Miss Marguerite Bethancourt the lovely young daughter of
Mr. A. J. Bethancourt to Mr. Clayton Doiron of this city, was celebrated on
Monday January, 19, at 5 O'clock P. M., at St. Francis de Sales Catholic
Church with Rev. Father August Vandebilt, officiating.
The wedding united two well known families of this city. Miss Lucille
Bethancourt, the bride's sister, was bridesmaid and Mr. Avery Hebert was
best man. The bride was given away by her father, Mr. A. J. Bethancourt.
Immediately after the ceremonies refreshments were served at the bride's
home and later a delicious supper was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Bienvenue, where the bridal couple and a few immediate friends
attended.
On Tuesday a reception was given in honor of the couple at the Fabregas
home on Barrow St., where a large number of friends were present. Dancing
was indulged in by all present, with music by the Original Night Hawks.
Mr. and Mrs. Doiron were the recipients of many beautiful and costly
presents. The newly weds will make Houma their home.
Their many friends here and elsewhere, wish them a long and happy married
life.
