I have been trying to find Amanda's maiden name for years. Do you have
any information on Amanda Harrington's parents?

Here is a two generation decendant report on George W. Lathrop's father
William.

JOHN1) was born September 11, 1773 in Norwich, New London, Conn., and
died Aft. 1840 in Stark, Herkimer Co., NY. He married CATHERINE
SHELBY. She was born Abt. 1786, and died March 03, 1883 in Van
Hornesville, Herkimer Co, NY.

Children of WILLIAM LATHROP and CATHERINE SHELBY are:
2. i. GEORGE W.8 LATHROP, b. Abt. 1819, Herkimer Co., New York; d. Aft.
1870, Oneida Co., New York.
ii. AMY LATHROP, b. April 16, 1821, Herkimer Co., New York; m. ROBERT
SILVER.

2. GEORGE W.8 LATHROP (WILLIAM7, JEDEDIAH6, JEBEDIAH5, ISRAEL4,
ISRAEL3, SAMUEL2, JOHN1) was born Abt. 1819 in Herkimer Co., New York,
and died Aft. 1870 in Oneida Co., New York. He married AMANDA Bef. 1842
in New York. She was born 1820 in Chenango Co., New York, and died Aft.
1870 in Oneida Co., New York.

Notes for AMANDA:
Last name unknown. Suspect she was Indian according to family legend.
