Paul,
Here is the way I have this:
MARY DAUGHERTY
(b.1732 d.1808 Westmoreland Col,Pa.)
She was the daughter of EDWARD DAUGHERTY, a revolutionary soldier of
Lancaster,Pa.. HIS FATHER, EDWARD DAUGHERTY, who lived in Lancaster,Pa.
in 1717, married before 1720 to MARY DUNWOODIE. He died in 1736 and she
administered his estate. She died in 1766 and in her will mentions her
eldest son, EDWARD, and his children; among them was Mary, wife of John
Latta.
Paul,
If you read this carefully, you'll see that the Edward Daugherty that
died in 1736 is the father of Edward Daugherty who is the father of
Mary Daugherty, wife of John Latta(2). Very confusing, huh? I had to
read it several times myself to understand that the Jr.Edward is the
one who was a Revol. war soldier.
