Hello Latta Group,
Newbie - referred to your list by . My
genealogy person searches have not uncovered any Latta names
yet. But I am also trying to do the 'genealogy' of our
home. This home is located in Lancaster, Fairfield County,
Ohio. The original name of the town was NEW LANCASTER and
many of the first settlers were from Lancaster PA. I have
checked your archives and found a lot of references to
Lancaster Co PA but found none for Lancaster OH. The town
was started in 1800 by Ebenezer Zane of Zane's trace fame.
In 1848 this home was built in the LATTA subdivision. Do
any of you know about a LATTA who lived in Lancaster, OH and
may have been the originator of this subdivision?
