I also received a copy of the original Power of Attorney James Latta, Sr.
of Orange Co., NC, granted to his son, Thomas Latta, which also mentions
his son, James Latta, Jr. dated 16 August 1804. Source: Orange Co., NC
Deed Bk 11:210; microfilm # 305929 FHL. This James Latta Sr has entries in
Book 15:310 and Book 27:56 of the same county which dates his life to at
least 1816.
