Dear Alex,
I am in Branch 3, descended from William, I think. I have been writing to
the Petts' and they filled me in on the family tree from 1795 back too 1652
to Cattleman Latta. (I have to grin everytime I read that!) I even
commented on what a really nice person you must be when you aren't even from
this branch. I have my geneology posted with the Latta newspaper but had
and have no idea where and how to get started finding out about these
people. What would you suggest to do first? Is there any other place I
should post this, (for others)? Your letters are posted on to the Latta's
and that's where I kept reading your notes. Thanks for the hard work and
for letting us all know.
Lyn Wright

Here goes.

> All of the above are believed to be born at Castlethird, or descended
from those that did. I have many more records of this family, but these
should be sufficient to make connections, if there are some. From my
research, I am almost convinced that Br. #3, come from here. Those branches
that can only say they came from near Londonderry, or "the North of Ireland,
should consider the possibility of a connection. Obviously, it's still
going to take a lot of work, but I hope that Andrew's family in Australia,
will now be able to make a connection with those still living in Donegal,
and Londonderry.

mentioned, please contact me I have brought several documents back
regarding land transfers for the above.
