Mrs. Swan Benson, nee, Elinor Latta, is the daughter of William Latta, of Whitemouth, Manitoba. He is my grandfather's brother, and was born at Bready, Co. Donegal. Robert Latta, of Ballinakill, is Williams brother. My grandfather was born at Ballinakill, and that is one of the farms that I visit while in Ireland. It is owned today by Charles Latta, grandson of Robert. William was the oldest son, but due to some misdemeanor, was asked to leave the farm, and migrated. Elinor had a twin sister, Evelyn, who married Mace Wardrop.
