Several weeks ago, someone posted the address of the Pennsylvania State
Archives, which is
<http://www.digitalarchives.state.pa.us/archive.asp>
The site certainly is worth checking out if you have Pennsylvania
connections. I was able to print out notecards showing the service records
and source of information for a number of Lattas who served in the
Revolutionary War. Many other records also are available online.
The records indicate how they served, the county, the unit, when they
served, the company or commander, anything they were paid, and whether or
not they served after being called. It also give the source of the
information. Those that I downloaded included those for:
Lata (sic), Ephrm (2 records)
Lata, Wm (2 records)
Late/Latta/Latter/Lattie, Joseph (5 records)
Latta/John ("and others") (2 records)
Latta, Moses/Mosses (2 records)
Latta/Latter, Thomas (2 records)
Lattig, Peter (1 record)
If any of these sound like your line, and you haven't checked them out to
the sources of the information, you could do so. The source could give
additional insight into the individual and his family.
Happy hunting!
