Dear Paul
You can find a lot of information on our group on our website at
www.markethillulster-scots.org.uk
<http://www.markethillulster-scots.org.uk/> . I am afraid some areas of the
site are still under construction as I design and run it myself as part of
my duties here, but overall there is still a lot of data to find.
Basically our group, known as Mid-Armagh Community Network (MACN), are a
group set up to promote and develop the Ulster-Scots community in
central/south Armagh County. We have about 200 paid up members over 18 but
nearly double that number attend our various activities throughout the year.
Running this group is my full time job, although I also assist setting up
other Ulster-Scots groups in other areas.
One of our most popular activities is our fiddle class taught by Keith
Lyttle, an expert in Scottish Fiddle Music and Bluegrass Music. You can
find out more about Keith on his own website
www.ulsterscotsfiddler.co.uk <http://www.ulsterscotsfiddler.co.uk/> .
I have also enclosed a copy of our activity leaflet for the forthcoming
2003/2004 season. I hope this is of some use to you.
Andrew
