Ellen,

Don't you suppose that your Thomas, living in York County, might have
enrolled in a Lancaster County group? There could be a number of reasons
why he might have done so, including wanting to serve under a certain
person.

Looks like that Thomas Latta Simpson probably was the son of Eliza Latta and
Alexander Simpson. Maybe Thomas and Isabella Latta were her parents?

Somebody know which branch these are?
