I did go back to 1870 census and look for Leonard STANSBURY and found one. There was a Leonard STANSBURY living in Vermilion Parish, LA with Uriah STANSBURY (age 32) a farmer, living with Eliza STANSBURY (age 62), keeping house, and a John
FLETCHER (age 17) a farm hand. Leonard was age 1 as he should have been to be born about 1869.
Uriah may have been a widower with his mother living with him and taking care of his (?) child, Leonard. Or maybe the baby Leonard belonged nextdoor with the Somerfield STANSBURY family yet instead since there were several children there already.....maybe Granny Eliza had taken him in. Hypothosis only.
Uriah's "family group" was living right by Somerfield STANSBURY (age 36) a farmer, [possibly a brother of Uriah's]and his family group: Rachel (35), Clara (13), Henry (11), Robert (7), Mary (5) and Iva (2).
