Good afternoon all,

I have been assigned the very pleasant task of locating
.....CAMPBELL cousins. LIVE ONES. *S*

Specifically the male descendants of:

Levi CAMPBELL [d.22Jan1817 LA] m. Sarah WATKINS [b.1763 NC]

This pair arrived…with their brood of six…during the year 1810
and became settled in the area surrounding what is now known
as....Abbeville in Vermilion Parish.

Why? Well…besides wanting to regain our contact…we’re working
with the CAMPBELL DNA project and are very seriously looking
...for male descendants of Levi and Sarah’s…four sons:

Philander, Benejah, Allen “Buck” and Levi Hampton

Our goal is to find, and test, one male…from each of these four male lines.
Of course...we'd like more from each line...
but THIS is where we are trying to start. *S*

OUR GOAL is to define our family DNA vs. the rest of the CAMPBELL’s...as
well as to prove the connections for several
cousins who know they’re connected, but at this present time
...they have no way to prove it with any documentation.

This last is where the DNA is absolutely crucial and we NEED
...to find our cousins...so that we may resolve these issues.

IF...you are a descendant, or know of a descendant anywhere,
please take the time to contact me. Let us know if you are
interested in joining this DNA project.

AND...YES...there were daughters as well:
Elizabeth “Betsey” and Martha “Patsy”

I descend from:
Martha “Patsy” CAMPBELL m. 1819 Samuel Russell RICE

Being a daughter, of a long line of daughters, tracing back to
CAMPBELL...my line won’t work for this particular project.

For those…descending from...James CAMPBELL m. Unity WEST...
This call for CAMPBELL’s for DNA testing…may also include you.

Please consider DNA as an option for your family research…and
contact me…so that you’ll know which DNA lab/project that we are using. If
at all possible...we would like to keep these
two CAMPBELL families in the same Surname DNA Project.
