Amy Law Banks, Greer

Amy Law Banks, 70, of 102 Stone Ridge Road, Greer, 29650, died at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Aug. 27, 2001.

She was a native of Augusta, Ga. and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William F. Law.

She attended Mary Washington College and the University of Georgia. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Greenville and was a devoted wife and mother for 38 years who lived her life with faith, courage and dignity.

In addition to her husband, Charles E. Banks of the home, she is survived by her daughters, Caroline L. Leek of Johnson City, Tenn. and Virginia G. Banks of Greenville; a son-in-law, Dr. Gary L. Leek; a grandson, Gary L. Leek Jr.; and a brother, William F. Law Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.

A private memorial service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Chapel at 639 N. Main St., Greenville.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, 710 West 168th St., New York, NY 10032-9982 or the Greenville County Cancer Society, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605 or your favorite charity.
