Connie,
This is the second time I am typing this. We had a brief power outage
during my first attempt… remnants of Ernesto. Hope we can get through it this
time.
If you want to buy the book, I believe that it may be available from the
publisher, J. & W. Enterprises. They have it listed, but their website was
last updated on October 30. 2003, so I’m not sure. I have sent them an email
and copied you on it. If it is still available, you should be able to order
it by mail or fax. Here is the link for the mail/fax form:

If you want to order it online, here is the link for that order form:

The book is available in various libraries in:
Alabama
Arkansas
California
Georgia
Illinois
Indiana
Louisiana
Missouri
Ohio
Texas
However, most genealogical books are considered reference books, cannot be
checked out, and are not available for ILL. If there were a way, I would
borrow the book rather than purchasing it.
Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana has a listed OCLC Number
(ocm17900286) for the book, so perhaps they will honor an ILL request. I’m
not sure; you’d have to check with your library.
Here are two websites I like to use when trying to find library materials:
_http://www.fiskelibrary.org/default.htm_
(http://www.fiskelibrary.org/default.htm)
On the Home Page scroll down and click on “Library Shelf List”, you’ll be
taken to a page with states listed on it. Click on any state you are
interested in and you’ll reach a page that lists materials relative to that state.
If anything interests you, you can then do a web search for that item.
_http://worldcat.org/search?q=&x=40&y=12_
(http://worldcat.org/search?q=&x=40&y=12)
Type in the name of the item you are searching for. When the next page
loads, click on the item(s) under “Results”. On the next page, enter your state
in the search box. The next page that loads will list all the states where
your item can be found. Clicking on a state will bring up a list of links
for the libraries that have your item. If you enter “United States” in the
search box, the next page will list, in alphabetical order, all of the
libraries that have your item. You’ll have to check each library to see which may
honor an ILL request.
Whew, I made it! I hope this helps.

Marelle

I live in OK. Are the books available for purchase at any of these
