>From replies to the original post, I see that Howard Augustus SPILLMAN married February 04, 1892 Laurel Hills, West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, to Susan Margaret ROBERTS. They had seven children. John SPILLMAN married Elizabeth Clack ROBERTS of West Feliciana Parish, born Aug 29, 1892 on the Roberts place near Laurel Hill and died abt 1988 in a Baton Rouge nursing home. I am a descendant of Roberts brothers who settled along the Amite Co., MS-East Feliciana Par., LA, state line in the early 1800s. William d. in E. Feliciana in 1853; he had 3 children. Sylvester d. in Wilkinson Co. (prob. Centreville area) in 1851; he had 10 children. Henry, a Baptist preacher, served in numerous small towns in the area. He lived in E. Baton Rouge Par. at the time of his death in 1854. He had 12 children. Can anyone provide info on the ancestry of the Roberts who married Spillmans? It could be the same family.
