DEATHS -- MRS. J.M. CARPENTER

Mrs. J.M. Carpenter, 52, who died Monday at 3:30 p.m. at her home at Calvin,
La., was buried Tuesday afternoon at Bethlehem cemetery near Calvin. Mr.
Miller, pastor of the Winnfield Church of Christ, conducted the services.

She is survived by her husband, J.M. Carpenter, of Calvin, three children,
Gilbert Carpenter, Mrs. Luther Frasier and Mrs. Charles Green; seven brothers
and sisters and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Carpenter, the former Martha Chandler, was born and reared in Winn
Parish. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
