Lizzie Fox Gilmore
Services for Mrs. Lizzie Fox Gilmore of Jonesboro, La., were held at 2 p.m.
Monday, December 8, in the chapel of Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Dr.
Herb Dickerson and the Rev. Curtis Dickens officiated. Burial was in Zion
Hill Cemetery in Tannehill Community near Winnfield, La.
Mrs. Gilmore, 77, died Saturday, December 6, 1986, at Jackson Parish Hospital,
Jonesboro.
She was a Winn Parish native, a former resident of Dodson, La., and
predeceased by her husband, Joseph H. Gilmore. Mrs. Gilmore was a former long
time member of Jerusalem Baptist Church near Winnfield and an active member
of Southside Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She was a housewife prior to
entering Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jonesboro.
Survivors are one son, Danny Gilmore of Jonesboro; one brother, Morris Fox of
Alexandria; and two grandsons, Andy and Brian Gilmore of Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Joe Gilmore, George Powell, Joe Fox, A. J. Kennedy, James
L. Thomas, and Wayne Triplett.
