Wm. W. Griffin of Calvin
Victim of Pneumonia Attack
Funeral Services Held on Monday
Afternoon at Bethlehem Church
William Wheeler Griffin, age 38, of Cal[v]in died Sunday morning at a
Shreveport hospital following an illness of two weeks of pneumonia.
Mr. Griffin was one of the young prosperous farmers of the parish,
and a member of one of the widely connected families of the Ward 8
section.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, and from where the
funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two-thirty with interment
in the church cemetery. Rev. C. E. Arrington, pastor, conducted the
services.
Surviving relatives include his widow, who was Miss Beatrice Walker
before her marriage, two small sons, Donald and William Glynn, mother,
Mrs. W. R. Griffin, one brother, Purvis Griffin, four sisters, Mrs. R.
E. Howard, Mrs. H. L. Chandler, Mrs. P. L. Garrett and Mrs. S. Garrett.
