I will try and run this down for you at the Winn Parish Courthouse, but,
sadly, the courthouse here had a recurring problem of burning every few
years (1868, 1885, 1917). The first two fires were by arson; the third
fire was accidental when the night marshal and his cronies met back up
there to play poker after their nightly rounds, knocked a lantern over
and burned it again, but fortunately, most of the records were saved.
So....there is a chance that if any of these folks appear on record
after 1885, we might have them.
You might go to the Winn Parish Archives page listed below and put the
names in the search engine at the bottom of the page and get lucky.
