If anyone can help Mr. Cook, please do so. Also, we thank Mr. Cook for
his donation to the WPGHA of an index he personally compiled on the
book Northwest La. Hist. Memoirs.

Greg - Hopes this finds you and yours in great shape. As thesubject
says, I would like some help in locating the EmersonB. Agan family as I
have inherited many family pictures of thisfamily and would like to see
that they receive them. The Winnfield connection is: Emerson's wife was
the formerAlsie McGuffee, daughter of E. R. McGuffee who in the 1950'sor
thereabouts, resided in Winnfield. Alsie worked for a timein the
Washington D. C. office of one of the members of congress.I believe that
to be Allen Ellender but am not sure on that orif it was while he was a
representative or senator, if indeedthat is who she worked for. I rather
believe that she met Emersonwhile living in D. C. and perhaps while he
was in the service, possibly during WW 2. Some of this is pure
speculation. What isn't speculation is that they lived in Alexandria
during the1950's as there are many pictures of their son, Steven while
astudent at Rugg Elementary school there. Any help that wouldn't entail
a lot of work on your part will beappreciated. Forrest
