I missed the original post on this inquiry about the McCarty surname.

I have some info on Mary Lauretta McCarty, 1850 - 1937, married first to John
Pharo Sills and secondly to Isaac Reeves Holmes. She had three children by
Sills and six by Holmes.

Another, Sibbie McCarty, married George Fletcher. Sibbie's daughter, Ada,
was born in 1876.

My last one is Steve McCarty who married Celia Alice Parker. Celia Ann was
born in 1898.
