If you are searching for ancestors who married in Caddo Parish, LA, this
may help you. According to an item in July 31, THE TIMES, Shreveport, LA,
newspaper, and the notice on the Caddo Parish site, the marriage indexes
are now available online to the general public for no charge.
NOT ALL years are online at present time.

The system is STILL BEING TESTED but you can try it now by clicking on:

and then clicking on: "TRY IT"

and using the following:

USER NAME: muser PASSWORD: caddo

The newspaper article states:

"Searches can be by the name of the groom, the bride, and the bride's
maiden name. And partial names are okay. People can also search by book and
page or by date. So if you want to see the names of everyone who a license
on Dec. 8, 1941, the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor and the rush of
folks to get married before going off to war, they are there."

It further states:

"While the Caddo marriage records date back to 1838, the online search now
only goes back to the early 1930's."

If copies of licenses are found and wanted, certified copies cost $3 in
person, $3.50 by mail. Requests should be mailed to:
