My name is Marie JONES and I am new to the list. I am
researching my grandfather who was born in Schleswig,
Holstein Germany.

My grandfather was believed to be born with the surname
LORENZ or LORENZEN and changed his name to LAWRENCE when
he migrated to Australia.

Hugh Jurgen LAWRENCE married Dorothy Matilda (surname ??)
Hugh died at Brisbane, Queensland AUStralia on 24 Aug 1905
at aged 42yrs. Hugh and Dorothy had the following children
1. Maude May LAWRENCE born 24 Sep 1889 in Brisbane Qld
2. Eugene Albert LAWRENCE born 01 Jan 1892 in Brisbane Qld
3. Dora Mabel LAWRENCE born 22 Aug 1893 in Brisbane Qld
