Still searching for any information on JAMES ROBERT LAWRENCE born 1798
in SOUTH CAROLINA, died around 1880 in HALL COUNTY, GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA
married CATHERINE SWAFFORD, daughter of SUSANNA SWAFFORD.

JAMES ROBERT LAWRENCE'S daughter CATHERINE SUSANNA LAWRENCE married
WILLIAM WHEELER son of JAMES WATSON WHEELER and MARY ELLIOTT.

When JAMES ROBERT LAWRENCE died he left an extensive fortune for his
heirs. He owned most of what is now known as downtown GAINESVILLE
around the COURTHOUSE and LIBRARY.

Have some information on JAMES ROBERT LAWRENCE, but have hit that brick
wall and can't seem to get any further.
