Here's my Lawrence Line, records start in Virginia, family then transplanted
in Somerset County, Maryland, then to Queen Annes County, Maryland, and most
descendents now reside in and around Baltimore, Maryland. I need to find
William Lawrence's parents in Virginia .....

My great-grandmother was Mary Catherine "Mamie" Lawrence (1877-1947). She
was from either the Oriole / Monie area, near Deale Island in Somerset
County, Maryland. Her father was Peter Wesley Thompson (1817-1915),
oysterman, who also built sailing boats such as bugeyes and is rumored to
have been a Chesapeake Bay ship pilot. His father was William Lawrence
(1803-1903), thought to be from Virginia. I am looking for researchers who
might have tied into this line.
