Edwin LAWRENCE, b. abt. 1800, m. Phebe unknown from Long Island. They were living in North Castle, Westchester County, NY 1850-1860-1870. On the 1860 census, Edwin appears with Lydia--could Lydia be Lydia Phebe or is this a different person? 1870 census does not have given name, only "Mrs."

Known children of Edwin and Phebe were Phebe Jane, Mary, George (b. abt. 1830 NY, d. 1890 Newark, NJ - m. Tryphena (?) Sanford), David A. Lawrence believed to be older son, b. abt. 1828. David m. Anna Amelia Cannon, had daughters Charlotte Evaline "Eva" (m. Edgar M. Easton) and Minnie J.
