Is anyone doing research on Roger Lawson of St. George's
Parish/Jefferson Co, GA? I have copies of original GA Land Grants from
George III. He is a descendant of Hugh Lawson (c 1697-1772). These
families are tied with Cecil County, MD and Rowan County, NC, as well as
the above-mentioned GA county.

In England, this family descends as stated below:
Wm. Lawson m. Agnes Cramlington
Thomas Lawson m. Isabella Killinghall
Wm. Lawson, esq, m. Haresley
James Lawson, esq, m. Alice Bertram
Edmund Lawson, esq, m. Margery Swinnon
Sir Ralph Lawson was knighted by James I M. Elizabeth, daughter of
Roger Brough of Brough Hall
Sir Roger Lawson died before his fatehr m. Dorothy "Star of the
Court", daughter of Sir Henry Constable
Sir Henry Lawson m. Anne Hodgson
Captain John Lawson a 3rd son, banished by Cromwell, restored and
knighted by Charles II m. Catherine Howard, sister of Charles I,
Earl of Carlisle. This line ties the Lawsons to many of the Royal
houses of Europe.
John Lawson younger son died in Ireland m. Mary McConnell d. in
Ireland
Hugh Lawson, Sr b. in Ireland d. in NC m. Mary Moore, relative
of Charles Moore; came to America in 1729
Roger Lawson b. 1730 d. 1803

There is more. Is anyone interseted in these people?
