My ancestor, Thomas A. Lawson, b. 1824, by word of mouth came from
East Tennessee. Found in Walker Co., GA in 1850 Census, with wife,
Rebecca, and children William J. (age 5), Mary A., (3), James J. 3 mos.
Wife, Rebecca is shown to be born in TN. Location in 1860 is unknown.
In 1870 and thereafter he is in Polk County Ga. shows him with Wife,
Rebecca (b. AL), 3 above mentioned children, with Rhonda J. (18), Susan
(16) and Thomas A. (12) all b. in GA. After Rebecca's death he married
Mrs. Mahulda E. Prewett and they had one son, Robert Lee Lawson.
