The Alexander Lawson Family

LAWSON, James (1), of Banff, Scotland. had issue: Alexander b. c. 1710;
James; and a dau. who married (----) LOGAN; and a dau. who married (---)
ROBINSON (111:337; 343:26).

LAWSON, Alexander (2), son of James (1), who was born c. 1710; d. 5 march
1761 in Baltimore County; m. Dorothy, dau. of Walter SMITH of Calvert
County. on 13 Nov 1735; purchased several tracts from John BORING: 80 a.
Swan Harbour, 50 a. Boring's Range, 50 a. Boring's Passage, 189 a.
Ferry's Range; in 1750 he owned many additional properties; three of his
daus. drowned on Christmas Eve, 1752, when the ice gave way; died leaving
a will, 5 Sept. 1760 - 5 March 1761, naming Andrew BUCHANAN and wife
Susannah; daus. Isabella and Rebecca; sisters Mrs. LOGAN and Mrs.
ROBINSON; grandaughter, Eleanor BUCHANAN; brother James; Henry SHIELDS;
wife Dorothy; and son Alexander. Had issue: Alexander; Isabella;
Rebecca; and Susanna, b. 12 Jan 1743 m. Andrew BUCHANAN. (75:48; 111:337;
