Hello Chuck
I can't at this time confirm that there is a connection between the Lawson
family I am researching and your Lawson's. My line are mainly in London
their origins go back to Sir Richard Lawson of Hieriggs, Cairnmuir, Cambo
and Boghall (Boighall), the family were very involved with St. Giles Church,
Edinburgh. I believe I now may of come across a connection for 1290. I feel
that because of a marriage I found recently we may have connecting lines.
My Sir Richard Lawson is circa 1420 and quite famous in Scottish history. We
are aware a branch of the family did go to America though I have not started
to look in that direction as yet. One thing that can confirm our two lines
as being connected is the name Elihu Dazley who is entered on I.G.I. as a
relative to many of my Lawson's have you by chance come across this mans
name in connection to your English line. Hope you won't mind all the
question when as yet I can't really help but Elihu could confirm the
connection.
