trying to piece together my husband's line:

John LAWSON b. abt 1753 NC d. Jan 4/1838 Morgan Co., TN
(brother to Randolph LAWSON m. Susannah CROSS)
m. 1775 edge of Stokes Co., NC
Anna LAWSON (cousins)
14 children: Betsey, John, Joshua, Lydia, Patsey, Reynold,
William, Staples, Melinda, four others not named.

there is mention of JOHN HART in both #1 & #2 as a friend of
the pensioner:
1. Rev. War Pension packet of: John LAWSON (above)
and
2. Civil War Pension packet of:
Andrew LAWSON b. Mar 1838 TN
(s/o Sevier & Cynthia Gardner Lawson - grandson of
Joshua & Telitha /?/ Lswson)
wife: Margaret E. PREWITT b. Jan 1841 TN
personal friend of Margaret E. Prewitt is that of a:
William HART
states in the pension query that knew Margaret while they
went to grade school together.
