Subject: Smith, Thompson,Wharton, Crawford families
I have been most fortunate in receiving a reponse to a posting regarding the
family of Philip Smith, Rev. War pensioner of NJ who came to Trigg Co. I am
still in need of information to get a complete listing of his family.
Apparently daughter Eliza married John Wharton in Culpeper Co. VA;then moved
to Trigg Co. Any information on her family would be appreciated. Clarrisa
Smith married Moses Steele Thompson and some of her history is contained in
the newly-published (and on-line) Thompson family history by Mr. Barney
Thompson but additional information would help. Additional information is
needed on Wm. Furman Smith, Charles M. Smith and Jonathan Smith(who may have
been dec'd by 1833).I descend from George Smith who remained in VA when
Philip moved to KY about 1820. Will be happy to exchange information.
