Mrs. Chas. H. Robertson Answers Final Summons

Mrs. MARY J. ROBERTSON, one of the oldest residents of this county and
widow of CHARLES H. ROBERTSON, died last Friday morning at 5 o’clock at the
residence of the late L.J. STEWART near Buffalo, in the north eastern part
of the county.
She has been an invalid for many years and her death was caused from the
infirmities of old age.
She would have been ninety-four years of age next March, and had lived at
the home of MR. STEWART for the past nineteen years.
She was a Miss STEWART, daughter of HARRISON STEWART, before her marriage
to WILLIAM WOOD, when a young lady, and was a native of either Virginia or
Georgia. After the death of her first husband she married to Mr.
ROBERTSON, who died on Feb. 8th 1875. She was a splendid lady and is
survived by two brothers, JOHN FRY STEWART, of this county, and R.J.
STEWART of Hopkinsville. P.T. ROBERTSON of this place, is also a stepson.
She was a membar of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.
Her remains were laid to rest Saturday afternoon in the Lander graveyard,
near where she died, in the presence of a number of relatives and intimate
friends.
