Trigg Co Notes 1886
Mr J.W. BROWN left for Lyon county Tuesday to take charge of the saw mill of
ALLEN BROTHERS, of Lamasco.
Mrs. ROSE WILSON organized Harmony Lodge of Good Templars, at this place
last week, with a good list of charter members. She afterwards returned to
her home in Indianapolis.
MISS ELLA HALL is visiting friends at Bellview this week.
REV. DR. COTTRELL preached at the Methodist church here, Sunday the 21st.
He is an able minister.
SHERIFF WILKINSON returned from frankfort yesterday where he had been to
take prisoners to the penitentiary. He will be here on the 24th, and says
he must collect the taxes. He is making an efficient officer and discharges
the duties promptly.
We guess COL TURNER is still on his farm in Ballard or Jefferson county. We
think it about time the Colonel was retiring from the political arena. We
are for HON. JAMES B. GARNETT nest time against the field of Congress.
