DR. J.J. BACKUS, an eminent young physician, formerly of Bowling Green has
recently located near here to practice his profession. He comes well
recommended and we wish him much success.

MR JOHN HILL has recovered from an attack of measles and is at his post
again.

MR. HARRIS STEWART had two children to die last week of measles and
pneumonia. Sad indeed, but it is said that misfotunes never come single.

CERULEAN NEWS

MR. C. P. NOLEN, of your city, (Hopkinsville) was on a visit to his brother,
W.H. NOLEN, this week. He thinks of locating here in the near future.

The measles is prevailing extensively in this section. MR. LUCIAN P'POOL'S
family are all down with measles some dangerously sick.

MR. HARIS STEWART lost two children, also several other deaths in this
vicinity.

MR HENRY SOLOMAN died at Mr. P'POOL'S, also MR P'POOLS little boy.

MR POOL lost a valuable mule from lock-jaw. Last year he met with a similar
loss.

We learn that MR. GEORGE BOYD, son of ex-sheriff, will lead to Hymens alter
MISS EDDIE KELLY, daughter of JUDGE KELLY on Thursday evening next.

MR ALBERT WHITE, from Caldwell, captured a life partner in the person of
MISS MATTIE GOODWIN, one of Cerulean's fairest flower's.
