SAM T. GRACE was born in Trigg Co., ky Nov 18, 1847 and died Sunday Jul 04,
1915 Age 67 years 7 months and 6 days. He joined the Confederate army at
the age of 17, fought until the close of the war and was parolled at
Columbus Ms in May 1865. He returned to his native county and professed
religon in the same year and joined the Missionary Bapt. Church. Mr. Grace
came to graves County in 1868 and lived here from that time with the
exception of a short time he spent in Florida. He was married to MISS
DEBORAH CHANDLER oct 20 1872 and to this union were born six daughters and
two sons, all of whom survive. The daus. are: MRS. JEFF CAMPBELL, MRS.
and MRS. BOYD MYATT and the sons are: DALTON of Paducah and DORRIS of Okla.
city, Okla. Funeral at Little Bethel. Confederates in attendance were W.W.
HOLLAND age 76, W.H. LAWRENCE age 78, JIM WIGGINS age 69, C.M. POWELL age
76, A.J. BETTIS age 75, B.F. POWELL age 79, JIM ADAMS age 73, R.W. WILLIAMS
age 78, J.H. DAUGHADAY age 72, W.J. WILLINGHAM age 79, P.D. SUMMERVILLE age
73, J.H. SHORT age 76, J.L. WILLINGHAM age 67 and B.P. WILLINGHAM age 74.
