"Mrs. Mittie W. GOODMAN"

"Mrs Mittie WILLIAMS Goodman, widow of Charles GOODMAN, former operator
of a broom factory here, died after a two-year illness at the home of a
son, Charles GOODMAN, on Brooks near Airways Boulevard, yesterday
morning at 5:55 o'clock. She was 73.
" A resident of Memphis for 48 years, she came here from her birthplace
near Eddyville, Ky. She became seriously ill a month ago. She was a
Methodist. Beside her son, Charles, she leaves two other sons, O.M. and
Howard Goodman, both of memphis, and a brother, Dave WILLLIAMS,
Middletown, Ohio, and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
"Services conducted by the Rev. John L. HORTON, will be at 11 o'clockk
this morning at National Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill

Mittie Williams (b. 1865, Lyon Co.) was the daughter of David Edward
WILLIAMS (b. 1827, Swansea, Wales - April 9, 1876, Nashville, TN) and
Sarah E. (Sally) JONES (b. May 27, 1830, Wales d. July 16, 1918,
Louisville, KY), daughter of William JONES. Mittie's sister, Rosanah
Williams married Charles W. CUNNINGHAM. Both families lived at the TN
Rolling Mill (Lyon Co, KY).
