In this area of the country, we are not as computer-literate as Utahns. What
has the rest of the world done to overcome the fear of computers,
specifically TempleReady, so that people will submit their ancestors names
for temple work?
The Find, Mind, and Bind program stimulated a lot of interest, and research
was done, but we haven't seen any increase in the usage of TempleReady at
our FHC. I have been asked to help a branch learn how to get their
information from paper to computer, and give a quick preview of what to
expect at the FHC when they come to do TR. We'll have a couple of computers
at this class and we will show them how to use PAF4, including the export of
data to the appropriate GEDCOM format. I'll also show them how to check the
file extension to make sure they are using the right file since many of our
FHC staff members are computer-leery also. Just wish we could be at the FHC
so we could do a quick run of TR but they are nearly an hour away from it.
Suggestions are welcome.
