I work at the Ogden FHC and we were told specifically "If we signed in for patrons on the Ordinace file, we would be let go." I would say they were very insistant on this point. We are also told not to look up information for patrons unless we have THEIR Member number and confirmation date to do it with. I am carring that message to my ward as well.

We have many regular visitors in both places so it might be hard to know who is or isn't a member. Many non-members are very familiar with church policy but they resent not being allowed to see church files--especially when they contribute to church records. I can understand why they feel that way but on the other hand, they have no right to check my member families records.
